OfflineThe trigger was failing to reset occasionally on my newly acquired 15-2. I noticed the trigger itself was making contact on the rear of the trigger guard. The trigger had left two contact marks(loss of blue) on the inside of the trigger guard and there was a dimple in the frame from the screw. The over travel screw is on the back side of my trigger so it's easy to adjust. I backed it out so the trigger stops to less than @1/16th" from the guard and now the trigger returns consistently. I've read improperly adjustment of the screw could do damage to the hammer(?). Is there a proper way to adjust this screw other than just enough to clear the guard?
