Itâs been 14 years since I sold my last Dan Wesson (15-2) here in the classifieds. Â
So, lately I convinced myself that I âneededâ a 6â new Colt Python. Â I went to my local gun store and handled one. Â I had one many years ago and this one wasnât ringing any bells. Â Especially at $1500. Â I read up on itâs shortcomings and at the very least new sights were in order driving the price higher.

Then I noticed the used guns. Â A stainless DW 44mag with an 8â barrel, and a 715 also with an 8â hv barrel. Â Both on consignment. Â As I was handling the 715 the salesman mentioned it comes with an another barrel too. Â I asked to see it and out comes the original box, 2 more grips and the factory tool. Â The extra barrel is a 4â hv later production. Â The 715 is a Monson gun. Â Better than a new Python(?) And only 2/3âs the price.

I'm not sure but if the price is right I would snag it up! Extra barrel is worth $300 to $400. $1000 is a bargain with extra grips, box and tool. It looks to be in good shape and original box and tool also!
