VERY nice! Large rear sight is a 15, not 15-1. The grip is probably Powerwood (plastic). Shoot it but don't holster it and it will stay pretty.
Exactly, not a 15-1, but a 15...which is rarer than a 15-1!
The 15-1's have smaller front & rear sights much like a 15-2, but are still a porkchop BA design.
Regardless, the 15 and 15-1 are both rare birds, and from a collectors point of view, both are really cool to keep simply because they were only available for a few short months on each model. From what I've seen the 15-1 is the overall rarer model mainly because it was built as sort of a precursor to the 15-2 early 1974, and by 1975, was on the same catalog with the 15-2...the 15-2 wasn't a porkchop BA, and had interchangeable front sights. The rest was history (IE took off like a Roman candle)...!
