I acted really fast on this one and after “pulling the trigger” I thought maybe I made a mistake. Now that it’s finally arrived, I gave it a good cleaning and worked on the few scratches it had on the right side of the shroud. Thankfully I got the scratches all out and so this baby turned out pretty nice, not perfect, but I’m very happy with it. The one thing that remains is the right side of the trigger looks like it has pitting. Only the one side. But after cleaning it, it seems to be more of an imperfect molding of the part…not pitting, but I may be wrong. If it’s pitted, why only in this one spot and nowhere else? I already bought/received delivery of an entire 740 trigger, hammer and pin in case I want it to be perfect. Thanks for looking!

Not bad, I knew it had pitting though, and many scratches. He took some abrasive and cleaned it up a little after I asked him questions about it. He said it was just dirt.
Fortunately he didn’t destroy it when he cleaned it. The pitting thing is weird, why only one place? May the trigger isn’t stainless? I was thinking it is stainless.

I went to a gun show in St Charles September, 2020 and saw these for sale. It was a huge show, biggest I’ve ever been..costed wife and I $25 to get in. I thought that was very pricey. Maybe you’ll find one at one the shows in your area.![]()
I live in St. Charles, I stopped going to that show because they never had anything I wanted. I got tired of paying the $15 or what ever to go in and not buy anything. I was going to go to it the weekend of January first this year, but I had covid so I was under quarantine.
Looks like there is another show Feb 5th-6th
