Hi guys,
I just bought this 7414 SRS-1 new in the box with 9 boxes of factory ammo and some unprimed brass. This gun was from the 2000 Texas IHMSA Championship and is unfired. I don't know if I am keeping this short term or long term so I kind of wanted some help from the experts here determining value. I have quite a bit in it but thought it might be worth the gamble since they are hard to find.
Thanks,
Jon

OfflineI was fortunate enough to find a NIB 7414 VH8 last year and paid $600 for it. I personally think this was a steal.
You can probably pretty much set your price but I will top IHMSA80X80's offer and pony up 2 Rossi snubbie and even throw in a Taurus for good measure.
Seriously beautiful gun! If you don't want it I'm SURE someone here on the forum will be willing to take this off your hands at your price.

Jody, I agree that you got a steal on yours. I will give you $650 for it if you want to part with it.

OfflineI'll raise these guys' paltry pistol swaps with a REAL offer! 😛 I'll swap you all these for your gun today!
A pair of Colts...these are a Lawman MK III .357, in 2" & 4" barrels.
And this Model 15-V Pistol Pac.
And if that doesn't do the trick, I might-maybe-possibly even consider adding one of my favorite "fun guns", a 1980 Super Blackhawk .44 10.5" (fired less than 300 rounds) just as you see it, with original box included.
Yes, that's a real-live 6-round 44 caliber leather belt buckle.
Not bad, huh? That's the makins' of an "instant gun collection", right?

That is a lot more tempting than Jody's offer
. I guess I will have some serious thinking to do. I guess i need to decide if i am hanging on to it for an investment or sell it and make some money. I know that if i sell it one day i will look back and say "what the hell was I thinking ? " On the other hand, I am not much of one to have safe queens. I like to shoot. Speaking of that I finally shot my 740 supermag the other day and was pleasantly surprised the the recoil was not bad at all. It was also the most accurate revolver I have ever shot.
Thanks for the offer. At least now i have an honest idea of what it is worth to some people. Those are decent guns you have their. The colt's are always creeping up in value it seems. I just paid a bunch for a nice Python. I have always wanted one and it was like new but they do cost a ton of money.

That's exactly what I thought the first time I shot mine. I expected the recoil to be much worse, so I was pleasantly surprised.
IHMSA...you're contemplating a trade for some of your stuff? Are you feeling ok? Running a fever, or something?
Could be interesting...sorta like a certain grip thread from somewhere.
