OfflineWell, for sure the model 40 (.357SM) has a .002 gauge from the factory. So far, I haven't owned a .375 that is NIB, so I can't give an affirmative yea/nay as to whether yours is original. Other members probably could.
However, setting your .375 gap at .002 isn't a bad thing.
I set mine at that gap all the time.

OfflineI only have one Super Mag with the factory gap gage, my 7445 and its .002. I set all my other SMs to .002.
Jody, you need to shoot that 375, its a real blast (pardon the pun), I really like mine and its a lot of fun just working up your own ammo. Quite the conversation piece at the range as well.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.
