Do the latest Valors have a 7 digit format SN w/o any letters or CZ,etc.?

Welcome aboard. I can't say on the number of digits but all CZ era guns "should" end with CZ.

Thanks for the welcome! I confirmed with a few other folks that my new Valor is "normal" with an SN starting with the year and then 5 digits after that;no CZ or any other letters.

Since the new factory opened after the fire, they changed the serial number format. The first two numbers now indidcate the year of manufacture followed by the serial number and they have dropped the CZ after the serial number.

Scorpio,is there any info that can be gleaned from the other 5 digits (model production numbers,etc.).

Not that I'm aware of, could just indicate sequence of production. Check on the 1911 forum, they may know more about this, there is a wealth of info over there.
