I really like 1911's, past and current ones mostly have been sig, kimber, and colt. Decided to try on a DW in .45. Haven't shot it yet though. Always wanted a Pointman but grabbed this instead. How do the Specialists compare to other models?

Top of the line in DW, but all their models are of excellent quality, and a little to a lot over the brands you mentioned. I like the older models like you have there. I have a Duty Treat one, commander style.
