Myself and a coworker have new DW 1911 Valor 45 ACP. When 8 rounds are put in either DW factory mag or after market mag, the mag will not snap into place. Not until one round is taken out, and we are left with 7 rounds does the mag insert properly.

Any ideas out there on what could be causing this issue? I emailed DW and they want to just swap out my factory mags and send new ones. But the issue is still there with other brand 8 round mags.

If you lock the slide back before inserting the mag it will go in and lock. As you discovered this happens with any 8 round mag. I have the same issue with my pre- CZ PM-7. I don't know if there is a fix.
