I need some help. I have a guy who wants to sell me a DW 1911. He claims that it was made before they were CZ and that it is a double stack. I can't find this anywhere in any book or website. Is there any such gun or is he trying to sell me a pipe dream?

Prior to CZ's purchase of DW Bob Serva who started the 1911 production made several experimental models. So it's possible they did make a few double stack 1911's. You might want to email Keith the production manager at DW for more info. Keith's email address is keith@cz-usa.com.
