OfflineFrom time to time, the cylinder on my Dan will not close. Â It is a 41-V8. Â The very end tip of the extractor rod seems to catch on the hollowed out part of the under lug where it normally tucks away neatly. Â I've been able to work on it, pressing back and forth on the crane and cylinder and get it to close. Â Only seems to happen the first time I pull it out at the range. Â Once it gets going, all is well.
Â
Related or not, I have also noticed light primer strikes when I fire it DA the next round after firing SA. Â I can fire it SA five times in a row, and if I don't cock the hammer on #6, and fire it DA instead, it won't go. Â Light primer strike. Â If I feed that same round back thru and fire it SA, it goes bang. Â Likewise, if I fire DA, DA, DA, everything goes bang like it should.
Â
Has anybody seen this before? Â What was the cause?
