OfflineDear all, just got the license for my 'new' Dan Wesson 715 and had an interesting discussion with the ATF officer who helped me to registrate (that's how it works in the Netherlands).
The serial number of my DW is S00172. But in the national weapon registry it is registered as 357S00172. Indeed, on the gun the 357 is engraved just in front of the other number in a slightly different letter type.
The question now is whether the 357 is part of the serial number? Anyone an opinion?
BTW, I tried the new one for the first time at the range and it is great. Very smooth and allready quite accurate. I'll have to practice! I'll try to post a picture later.
thanks, Sam
