When I received my Model 15 'no dash' Porkchop...

...I noticed that I could sure see a lot of daylight at the barrel gap. The feeler gauges said it was sitting at .019...yep, that's gonna need some fixing. Plus, I needed to get in there to clean & lube the stiff action.

(sorry for the pics, I did this at night & my camera was not agreeing with my lighting choice.Confused )

Once I removed the barrel nut, something interesting became readily apparent. One side has flutes cut into it, to fit a wrench...

...the other side has slots, as all the later flush barrel models have. How about that!

Upon reassembly, I set the b/c gap at .004 & reinstalled the nut back into it's original position, the action feels a ton better now & I'm sure it's gonna be a good shooter. This one is going with me to the range this weekend.Smile

That's pretty cool.  Do you think it is factory, or did someone break ou the Dremel tool?

That's definitely not done with a Dremel. If it's been modified, it was done by a smith, or an owner who works at a machine shop.

Maybe I should rephrase...in the hands of a Dremel master, it could be done. 😛

Sort of like a Jedi Master?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
