When DW was makeing the early models were they always sold in sets or were they sold with just one barrel that was on the revolver nothing extra, it gave you the choice if you wanted to add diffrent lenght barrels if you wanted to.

Some were sold in the Pistol Pack, some came in the Styro foam box with the cardboard sleve in the barrel length you chose or dealer had in stock.

How "early" are you talking about? Porkchop or post-Porkchop type of early?
Right from day one (1970), they were available as either a gun by it's lonesome, or in Pistol Pac form. The guns by themselves shipped in paper boxes, the PP's arrived (I believe) in nice PP cases with soft innards.
