Can anyone tell me if the small frame uses the same firing pin for rimfire and centerfire or are they different?

The firing pins are the same but the location is different on rimfire. 22 LR and 22 Mag debuted in 1979.
The early porkchops had a straight sided firing pin that was prone to breaking. I don't remember when they changed to the conical shape but it was either with the introduction of the interior barrel nut with the 14 and 15 in 1971 or with the 14- and 15-1 in 72. There is no room for the conical pin in the guns with straight sided pin. The firing pin springs are different also .
