Greetings, I'm doing a bit of research about my Grandfather's old Dan Wesson Revolver. The only thing I know about it is that it is quite old, but the serial number is not like other Dan Wesson's. After comparing it to a few photos of revolvers being sold on GunBroker, I just had to ask here if anyone knows more about the serial number.

It is SD015488, with Monson, Mass. U.S.A above it.
