OfflineI would have to guess that the pictured revolver is a model 14-1 (a fixed sight version of a 15-1) that shows typical wear marks known to those particular revolvers. It is the last version of a "pork chop" DW, and apparently the cylinder drags a bit on the side plate (matching wear marks not visible in this photo) when the cylinder is closed with pressure at the rear of the cylinder rather than at the front where it should be applied. I have a 15-1 with these wear marks, and while annoying, they are not an indicator of misalignment or abuse. Just carelessness.

OfflineThanks for the quick reply! After looking more closely, I see you're right about the 14-1 ID... it didn't really look like anything that would indicate something bad, so thanks for confirming that. Still a nice piece, and I've heard Model 14's are super solid as well.
