If a scope mount is drilled and tapped into the shroud would this reduce the value of the barrel/shroud . If so what would its value be now.   357 15-2

thanks Bruce

Let' just say that drilling the shroud won't improve value.  I dont think anybody can put an exact value on a D&T'd shroud.  Its worth what somebody will give you for it.

I agree with Scorpio...I have no desire to mount a scope on any of my Dans and shoot strictly open sights. I would personally pass on any shroud that was D&T simply because I figure another non-custom shroud will come along.

Drilled and tapped shrouds generally sell for less, 10, 12, 15 inch command a premium price.

My experience in buying and selling is serious collectors want shrouds that haven't been drilled and tapped.

Shooters on the other hand want the scope mount.

When I buy a gun or shroud that has been drilled and tapped I only buy if the mount and rings are included and hopefully a nice scope too. Trying to find the right mount to match the holes if it is just the shroud is a pain in the shoothole. Lol, a little current events joke.
