OfflineI bought a 715 some time ago that had a set of (Millet?) rings clamped onto the shroud. They were clearly not the best solution, because although they were pretty secure, they also put some shallow gouges in the rib. I'll see if I can dig them out and post a picture. I do have the Burris setup, which is a pretty nice solution if you can find one. You are correct that they are no longer made.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
