After much trouble, I finally got my Firesight installed. The previous owner had installed the wrong elevation screw(very hard steel)and it took my gunsmith a while to remove it without damaging the frame. He was persistent and did get it out, so here are pictures of the new sights. I don't know how they shoot, as I haven't been to the range since I installed it. Will update when I get to the range.DWL1.JPGImage Enlarger

The Williams firesight is for the Ruger GP100. It comes as a set with the front sight which is useless on a DW so you just have to eat it or give it to somone who has a GP100.

I installed this on my 15-2 with an 8” barrel and still using the DW front sight it tightened up my groups considerably. I was impressed. Very easy to see in low light. Now I just need to wait until EWK’s fiber front sights are available again so I can convert the whole sight system.

Do any of you gentlemen know if this sight will fit a Monson 744? It looks great. I have an EWK green fiber optic front. I think it would help these old eyes if I put an EWK red fiber front with those two green dots from the Williams. Thanks for any info.

It depends on the elevation screw location.  The 44's had 2 different screw patterns.  Take a photo of yours and we'll be able to tell if the Williams sight is interchangeable.  I had some good photos posted from a few years back until until the jackweeds at Photobucket hijacked everyone's photography.  If I find the photo I'll post it again, but in the meantime take a pic of yours and we'll be able to tell.

I have installed the Williams Firesight on a 44. The only issue I ran in to was that the springs from the 44 sight were too large to fit the holes in the Williams sight. I had to use the springs from a 15-2 DW sight.

Midway sells the springs for the Ruger and they are the same as the 15 and 715.
