OfflineWhy doesnt the screw work? Is it too long or too short?
I did buy a new Hogue at one time, if I remember correctly the hole was a little small for the screw head to fit in. I carefully countersunk the hole slightly bigger with a drill. Or you could grind down the head of the screw til it fits in. Is that the issue you are having?

OfflineIt's common. Many folks over tighten the rubber grips and that interferes with the action. You can purchase a short screw at the hardware store or chase a nut onto it, then grind or cut away some threads.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

I have had this same problem with Hogue wood grips as well
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
