Is it possible to change out the 6 in. SS barrel on a Palmer 715 FB to an 8 in.?

Anything is possible but probably not a cost effective option. You could certainly trade for another 715 or maybe even get a second 715 for what it would probably cost to do this. Just my thoughts though, go with your ideas not mine. Good luck however you go.

I have never had a FB but I hear they are just as accurate. Sellers on Gunbroker often do not disclose it is a fixed barrel. Perhaps they don't realize it is one but I think in most cases I think it is intentional. I try to point it out to them. ð

I am reminded of a conversation I had once with a construction supervisor that was building a restaurant that my company was having constructed:
Me: Bob, is it possible for you to make these changes, additions...?
Bob: I can do whatever you want, all it takes in Time and Money. I have the Time if you have the Money
As noted, the easiest solution is buy another DWÂ
