Been doing some 'cleaning out' during this pandemic and came across this photo. That's me and my little eight point buck which I shot with the S&W Model 27 in the photo. This was in about 1987, I think. The 158 gr. semi jacketed soft point bullet went through both lungs at around 1450 fps (I rolled my own back then), and he only made it about 40 yards from where I shot him. I'm still kicking myself for selling that revolver, but I've got my Dan Wessons now which I enjoy every bit as much.

Pretty cool vintage stuff there, including the Olds. Takes me back to better times. Oh, and VERY good shooting bringing down that big animal with a single shot from a .357 . Bet that meaty looking buck was delicious.
