I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

"...shall not be infringed."

I would think a bill that limits the number of liberal democrats in congress to 10 or less would be more effective (and more constitutional).

And later after the ban has been in effect for awhile, the libs will decide that since crime hasn't dropped to the levels expected, will conclude that 'magazines' holding more than 6 shots will need banning and on and on until they go for the biggie, total ban.

This BS is from DC is getting old.

Right now, Connecticut is on the front lines of this crap, once it happens here, it will start to happen a few other places, then a few more, all of a sudden, everyone says WTF???

All I would ask is that you all start asking the NRA when the hell they plan to get in on this. Does not cost any extra money, just try to focus your BIG $$$ in important places.

An infection starts in one place, and unless it gets fought actively, it spreads.

http://www.thefederalistpapers.org/second-amendment-2/democrats-in-d-c-want-to-ban-high-capacity-magazine-clips-cant-explain-why

they gotta look like they are doing something for their base, then blame it on the republicans in hopes of turning the senate or congress back to them, out here in fly over country not one person would give up a magazine no matter how many rounds it is, matter of fact my state is trying to get NICS reciprocity whereas when you apply for a conceal permit, the permit is the background check on all future firearms transfers

Thanks, I may not have labelled this correctly, this is not an individual state concern, the bill linked in my OP is coming to the US Congress

Again we blame an inanimate object for something a human did! If the shooters in the mentioned incidents had had smaller capacity magazines the carnage would have been the same with the possible exception of Tuscon. If the government is really serious about saving lives let's ban the automobile. WQe kill 30,000 or so people, including kids, on the American road each year. Think of the innocents we could save. Ban the private ownership of cars, trucks and motocycles. Yeah!!!!!!

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.

Its never really been about saving lives as much as it is about power and control over the masses.  The anti's profess to be all about safety but in reality they want to control what others can and cannot do.
If it were truly about safety, the car argument would be reason enough to go back to horses and wagons.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I know Steve, I saw it, but there are some folks in WA state who are trying to rally and they are being arrested for speaking out against the state govt. and governor. If we the people in every state do not stand together soon....I hate to think what is gonna happen.

What worried me is once this stuff gets passed at the state level it never gets repealed. We were lucky the AWB had a 10 year sunset provision. Once crap like this gets passed its essentially game over, no repeal. My biggest concern is states like PA OH, OR, WA that are largely rural but have major population centers that vote Dem.
