Greetings to all. Been a serious Colt addict for years till they priced me out! Tripped across a 15-2 Pistol Pac and now I'm hooked. I look forward to getting educated here on the nuances of the Dan Wesson line of revolvers. I find the action on these revolvers to be superior to the Python, and the workmanship amazing! Thank you all ahead of my pending numerous questions.

Great to have as discerning a new member as you. It is reassuring to hear that our Dans stack up well against the legendary pythons. I believe your appreciation of Dans will grow as you become more familar with them. Karl Lewis designed them as well as the under appreciated Colt Trooper mk iii (ie; king cobra, anaconda). The prices for well kept Dans are still very low. Another great thing about dans is their durability .

dwf-welcome to the dwf.

Many years ago I went to the local gun shop and asked about buying a Python.  The shop owner introduced me to Dan Wesson and I bought 2 that day; a 715 and a 744, for less money than the Python was going to cost. I also bought 2 PP cases that day and began adding BA's a short time later.

I was so pleased with the guns that I never wanted a Python after that.

BTW, don't forget to post pics.

You will have to check out the FAQ's on the main menu. Look at the acronyms because you have DWAS... and sounds like you got it bad (which is not necessarily bad and usually very good). I am just recovering from a serious bout with it. I don't know if you can ever really shake it, like malaria it comes back from time to time. I'm still looking for insurance that covers it, but no luck and it sure can be fun living with it. Welcome and good luck.

Welcome Scott,

I am sure you will enjoy shooting the Pac as well as adding accessories. Its inevitable  You may want to consider being a site supporter eventually. There is a tremendous amount of information, articles, and brochures to access in that "member" section.

Agreed. It only took me a couple of days of digging through this forum to make me decide I needed to support it. Where else can you find so much info on Dans? Easy decision.. dwf-welcome
