Purchased my first DW from Rock Island Auctions a few weeks ago.  I was scanning through the auction on the last day and ran across this eye catching piece. Odd, but kinda neat at the same time. It shoots incredibly well!

Its a W-12 with some sort of barrel extension and flash hider.  Unfortunately it did not have the other barrels/shrouds with it.  Wanted to ask if anyone knows where this uniques combination might have come from or is this just something the last owner possibly created from spare parts?

I’m guessing that it’s the creation of a previous owner. There’s probably an eight inch barrel under there covered by the original shroud with a handmade shroud apparatus added on top of that. The unique barrel nut would be very interesting to see. The barrel and shroud parts would be from much later production than the original revolver. As the owner, only you can decide whether to open her up and give us a look, or not. If it were mine I couldn’t resist the temptation to take it apart to see just how it goes together.

A previous owner saw an EWK brake and told his friend, "I have an idea, here- hold my beer."

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

I had it apart earlier. Didnt take any pictures though. Ill get some up one day soon.

It has a threaded barrel extension that screws onto the original barrel.  no cover shround. The thickness of the barrel extension even matches the outer profile of the original shroud and acts as the barrel nut.   Trying to source original barrel nut, and maybe just maybe the rest of the barrel pack.
