OfflineNew guy here. I finally registered after lurking for quite some time. I have a Dan Wesson stainless steel .357 with a 6Ⳡbarrel that I really enjoy shooting. I've already found a lot of great information on here. I'm currently just using my .357 for target shooting but I am wanting to use it for hunting. I am trying to put together enough info for myself to get my Dan scoped and set up for hunting. Im wanting to find an 8 or 10 inch barrel and shroud and get a scope mounted. I also am keeping my eyes open for another DW revolver.

Glad to have you as a member and not a lurker... BAs for .357 can be found but FWIW, I think the 357 SM may be a better hunting platform, particularly going after those larger mid-western deer.
Thanks for the welcome. Yes there certainly are better choices for hunting. Jumping up to a bigger frame DW would be tough for me. They just dont fit my hands well. The .357 is on the low end of the legal calibers here in Iowa. I have also been keeping my eye open for a Contender or Encore for hunting.
