Hi guys my name is Jordan I'm from a little town about an hour north of the DFW area called Van Alstyne. Im an auto and diesel mechanic i love cars and trucks new and old and love my guns! Just recently picked up my First Dan Wesson its a model 15 with an 8in barrel. Picked it up from a gentlemen from a nearby town, its a very clean gun and im hoping to learn more about it and hope that some of you guys on here can tell me more about it and maybe a little history. Well enough about me here are some pics of the gun!

Yours would be a 15-2!  What else could we help you with?  Welcome info is all over this site on DW's!   The 15-2 is what most of us have at least a couple of them.  These are small frames!  If you need a tool for it check side bar for EWK or grips LB !  ÂÂ

Welcome to the forum!  Based on your serial number it was probably made around 1976 and it has the heavy shroud which is somewhat rare especially in an 8".
Nice looking Dan and I'm sure you'll love shooting it!

Thanks for the welcomes and all the great info, love the gun! Couldnt pass up the great deal i found on it. Headed to go buy ammo after lunch, cant wait to shoot it!
