Hi, I found this place in my search for a do it all big bore revolver. My first wheel gun was a SAA clone in .45 colt. Then I got magnumitis and aquired a S&W 629 and Ruger SRH 44. Right now, my search is for a double action platform that can launch not quite "Ruger-only" .45 loads. My plan is to find a DW .44 or .445 and have a custom barrel/cylinder made.

Any revolver chambered in .454 Casull would suit your needs well. Taurus Raging Bull comes to mind. Or, just in case your magnumitis worsens, go ahead and get yourself a S&W .460, as it will chamber anything from .45 Colt on up!Â

The DW 45 long colt will handle anything the Ruger will.

The X frames are too large and I've thought of buying a SRH Toklat in .454.
