New to revolvers, this will be my first :)

I have recently bought a Scar17, after doing so I figured having an AR10 (POF-308) was unnecessary, so I decided to get a nice revolver as well as some much needed cash.

As you can see its got a super long barrel, I'd like to get a shorter one to have around (4" or 6" or both if priced right) and a nice matching case so that I can really show off at the range.

Maybe if anyone can point me in the right direction I can get some custom grips made. I'd like to match my 1911 :)

Welcome to the Forum. You have what looks to be a pretty nice Model 44 VH (Vent Heavy) 10".

4" in .44 Mag is a little challenging to get, but possible. 6" is easier to find, normally on eBay or Gun Broker.

Grips to match your 1911 will be pretty tough.

A first revolver in .44 Mag is a big step, that's a pretty big Thumper, you are clearly a believer in "Peace Through Superior Firepower" big-grin

Welcome aboard. That's a nice looking 44. That big old 10" barrel is going to really help you stay on target. I've got a 741 ( stainless .41 mag) with an 8" barrel and it's tons of fun to shoot. Amazingly accurate.

Enjoy

Welcome to the forum from PA. The big 10" is a little heavy, but makes shooting 44 magnums nice and mild. You can also buy new barrel assemblies from the webstore at CZ/ Dan Wesson but they are not cheap.

Welcome and look to the right in the side bar EWK has some new custom EH Barrel Assemblies that may be just what you need!   The grips LB can do the wood work though the art may have to be farmed out!    I like the 10" on my 744 just plain fun to shoot!
