When I moved to the country a few years ago I went to the local sporting goods store looking for a respectable piece to sleep with. I came home with a parkerized 357 magnum for a reasonable price. It is a Dan Wesson 15-2 that was probably used in law enforcement when they were in favor. The finish fit my purpose as I didn't plan to use it in the daylight a lot.

Naturally I had to fire off a few rounds before I put it under my pillow. I had way to many misfires. The primers were dented but some didn't detonate. To fix that I replaced the hammer spring and have not had a problem since.

I have been lurking in this forum for some time now and figured it's about time to jump in.

Lee, thanks for coming in from the cold. Many DW revolvers are safe queens and are seldom shot or maintained. They end up being "bad" guns because of neglect rather than on actual performance.
