I don't have DW yet. Have been looking on gunbroker, and will hit shows in January.

Is there a gunsmith known for cutting barrels down to 3"? I've got a thing for 3" barrels.

Welcome to the forum from PA!   EWK arms makes their own barrels, but I don't know if he willodify an existing one.  Im going to put in a shameless plug here, I just posted a 3 inch fixed barrel 715 for sale on gunbroker.  If you want a good gun in 3 inch, it would make a great start to a collection.

Welcome to DWF, and thanks for visiting New Members. Shortening an interchangeable DW barrel assembly to a shorter length is certainly possible, there would be a fair amount machine work involved, I think.

The 3" Fixed Barrel 715 is actually a less common Dan Wesson model, and would be pretty unique in your 3" collection.
