I've seen this site a few times and thought I should join, being that I don't know anyone else that has a DW. I love mine. I'd like to say this is an great site for the seemingly hidden info on Dan Wesson firearms.

Also I'm curious about getting as much info on this model as possible. I got it in a horse trade back five years ago and have loved it ever since.

715-2Â Â Â the serial number is one i have not seen before with the slash!Â did you get any other goodies for ir or with it?Â

the S/ 00Â Â Â Â Â SÂ should/could be for stainless as well as the 7 of 715.Â If iam wrong someone will very soon correct me

As DWA stated, your serial number is unusual. The "S" is for stainless, although the s/n of that era is usually roll marked as "SD"...(S= stainless D= model 15) meaning model 715. This is the second time I've seen one like yours.

It seems as though when they first started making the stainless guns, DW was a little conflicted as to how to go about handling the s/n issue. One member even has a 715 with no letters in his s/n. Mad Â

the serial is indeed different from any other ones i've ever seen. It is in fact a slash after the S.

You guys really have some awesome looking chunks of steel.

And I was lucky enough to get this one but no other goodies to go with it.
