Welcome Clint. You may have heard of Dan Wesson acquisition syndrome. It is an obsessive cumpulsive disorder that starts with the notion that changable barrels is a neat idea. Usually you catch it by seeing a pistol pak in your LGS. It has an extremely high rate of infection. Symptons include sleeplessness, no funds disease, internet compulsion, and can lead to depressive episodes only relieved by purchases of guns, barrelsand grips. Extreme cases can lead to loss of libido(by your angry spouse) and marital difficulties. There is no known cure but can be avoided by immediatly buying a Ruger. Since you found the forum it is probably too late but you will have a lot of fun. Ole Dog

Alas, I suffer from no-funds disease most of the time. Just today I spotted a very nice model 14 with 4 inch barrel in a LGS for $380... nofunds.
