I'm getting some trophie's done for a match I run and next door is a pawn shop I never knew about.

He has a Porkchop in the case (400 i think). DAMN, that is the uglyest hunk of steel I ever saw. There huge too. They look much better in pictures.

He also has a 6" SS SuperMag for 449 listed as a 357. Theirs a chance it might be a 375, the hole looked a little big.

A .357 Maximum perhaps? And that would be a great price.

I just talked with the owner of the shop. It is a 740 with a V8S barrel assembly, s/n SE002003, Monson, Mass. He's asking $499.00. He doesn't have a web site or pictures available. It has a few small "dings". Might be a candidate for someone.

HP, I hope I didn't step on your toes if you were interested in it. Unless it's in rough shape it's a good deal and maybe he'd move a bit on the price. If you have a chance take a look again and maybe snap a pic or two if he'd let you.

That's a great price on a 740... even if the finish is a little rough a scotch-brite pad will bring it back to life!

I thought about the supermags and they seem like brass is awful scarce. Maybe a 375 some day if one crosses my path (due to 375 win brass). I'll do a nice 44mag when I can.
Those Supermags are big SOB's!!
This shop get very little action i'm sure there's no hurry.

Well, I called about the 740. The girl I talked to said they don't ship out of state. Thats a bummer. I was hoping to get it. It's a good deal if anyone local is looking for one.

Maybe HPMike can hook you up- buy it and sell/transfer to you. Wouldn't add very much cost to a real good deal.
