Hey guys I have a blued .22 6" barrel 22 revolver. I think something is off, this a monson Mass model. 

I was cleaning the chambers on the cylinder and one of the chambers has rings machined in the chamber where it faces the forcing cone. It is in just one chamber they are all even and equidistant looks like they were machined in, but it is only one chamber out of 6? What the heck?

Probably sloppy machining. Do you notice any difference in accuracy from that chamber?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I havent checked mine that close! I know one of them was sent back to factory to be tuned and they recylindered it!  Next tiem I have them out I will check them!   Yes does it seem to harm the shooting?

Accureacy does not appear to be affected, but I do have huge lead buildup on the cylinder, topstrap forcing cone and surrounding areas. This stuff is caked on thick, and no it is not the ammo.

Maybe check the barrel gap, you can pull it in to .002, but be sure to check all 6 cylinders and gap on the tightest one. Less gap may mean less crapsmile
