Sad story. I purchased this 715 from a fellow dying of cancer and needing to sell the revolver. It came with three grips, the original multi tool and all the paperwork from 1981. Not one scratch on this Dan.

That is a very nice looking revolver and 8 is a good start!

That's a real nice looking piece you picked up. The smooth target grips don't come along very often. It's been quite a while since I've stumbled across a gem like that - I should be due pretty soon.

8 is definitely a good start; about half.
I was surprised to see the DWA medallion instead of the DW one. I don't think I've ever seen one on a stainless gun before. Probably early production.
Just my guess.
Looks gorgeous, BTW.

I mentioned in my original posting that the 715 was added to my collection making a total of eight Dan's. Here are two of the eight. Both like new!

And I think we are already starting to see 2016 DWF Calendar entries
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Not a sad story at all. You did him a favor he needed,
and you have something special over the other seven because you helped him. Good man.

Someday someone will write a doctoral thesis on DWAS. Â Easier to quit smoking cigarettes or stop drinking alcohol than quit collecting Dans. Â If it was bad for our health we would all be dead. Â
