I've enjoyed the red dots on my rimfire guns for a long time. Â I thought it was about time to add one to a centerfire. Â I got this model 15 on GB a few months ago. Â It was in great shape.

The barrel was changed to a 6" VH and I drilled and tapped the shroud for a CZ/Dan Wesson mount. Â I really like the mount but I wish it came with screws. Â Not a huge deal just cost me another week waiting for screws to come in. Â I've been really wanting to try one of the miniature fast fire III sights. Â I'm one proud papa. Â I don't know that this could have turned out any better. Â That's 5 shots at 25 yards!!

Beautiful. Its just amazing how a Dan Wesson can be trasformed so easy to such an extent. Great shooting by the way!

Great before and after pics. I wish DW naysayers would try to absorb how versatile DWs are. I will take a Dan over a Smith any day of the week. Don't get me wrong, I do have a few Smiths though.Â
I like the scope base, especially with a Fastfire on it. It is similar to a Weigand base. The Weigand comes back over the rear sight and is bulkier. I have a Weigand on my 15-2 with a 2.5-7 TC scope. My hope is to shoot a few woodchucks with it this summer. I am not sure if my pic has uploaded. I tried to add it as an attachment.Â
