I have a very nice 7445 that also came with a 22 Hornet barrel and cylinder inserts.  I haven't shot it yet but just about ready to work up some loads.  Does anyone here have experience with odd calibers in the DW's?  Just looking for advice from the experts here.  Thanks

I have never seen a setup like you describe but I am no expert on anything. I am sure that we need cool-pics of your Supermag thoughkiss

Sounds like a very custom item, a fairly hot .22 varmint round out of a 7445.

My guess is that it's a specially made barrel designed to fit the frame threads and shoot from the original shroud.

Pictures of the barrel and inserts would great to see, any idea who did the work?

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I've had the gun about a year and just getting around to swapping barrels.  It made the gun even heavier with that little hole in the barrel.  I think the previous owner had the work done here.  Looking forward to shooting it.

Please be careful about matching up the barrel with the caliber of the round you are shooting

Be advised, this needed to be said.

Looks pretty cool to me cool

Yes, removing the inserts and firing a 445 with that 22 barrel would be disastrous.

Seriously, this is a very interesting "hybrid" caliber change that will interest our Members.

Any issues with cylinder rotation with this?

No, it's very smooth but you can tell there's more mass there.

Interesting I have thought about a hornet but not like this!    Don't  get rid of that one unless you want to ship it this way!

A 22 hornet on the superman frame would be cool to have. I would imagine the barrel could be turned down some to reduce weight.

Let us know how it shoots.
