And here is my current EDC gear. A 16 shot 10mm Witness Stock Elite with 4 spare mags, misc Cold Steel knives and (with the exception of this holster) my Sharkskin leather.

Let's resurrect this thread. I know there's got to be some more nice picks of carry pieces out there.  Most times this is mine, loaded with 38Sp +P Winchester Silvertips.

No pictures at this point, but the regular "Go To" gun is a Ruger LCP with a LaserLyte red dot. mostly because I can get away with it on a very low profile.

The off time/leisure time gun  will be a pretty extensively  reworked Springfield Armory LW Commander, pictures in a few weeks

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I have several carry options

Always: armed with the most situational awareness possible, and a Kershaw folder. I like this knife so much I actually have three, one is ALWAYS with me.

Usually: add a Ruger LCP loaded with Hornady .380 Critical Defense. The LCP has a LaserLyte red dot

Sometimes: Springfield LW Commander 8+1 .45 ACP hollowpoints, usually with an extra magazine.

The Commander replaced my favorite carry gun, S&W Model 59 9mm. CT decided that we can't carry with over 10 rounds. I decided that I was happier with 8+1 of .45 ACP than 10+1 of 9mm

The 59 (14+1) is very happy to be the "house gun" however, and it lives in the nightstand with an extra 14 rd buddy.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Here are my carry options.  Always a knife; either the Boker or the Spyderco neck knife.  Most days I carry the G27 or the P64.  The G27 rests in a very comfortable Crossbreed holster and the P64 just slips into the pocket.  For OWB carry (not too often in LA from MAR through NOV) it's either the Kimber SS Compact or the Model 8 with LB Grips.

Just a quick note to add over the past several months I have gotten to the point that THIS is ALWAYS with me. I know that it's a little shorter blade, but I flipped the clip on each of them so there is always the same knife in the same place on/in my right pocket everywhere. I practice my "draw" on this at least half a dozen times a day.

Question: Does your wife (or significant other) know WHY:

-She can't walk or hold hands on your Strong Side?

-You always know where the exits are?

-You look down every aisle of the store as you are crossing them?

-You are always looking around, "Head on a Swivel", wherever you are?

Awareness is the first and most important weapon.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Here's a pic of my two concealed carry pieces, a Kel-Tec PF9 and a Kel-Tec P3AT - 9mm and .380 calibers.  I do carry a .357 or .44mag revolver in the woods, but for around town one of these highly concealable pistols is what I choose to carry.Kel-Tecs.jpgImage Enlarger

I previously owned a PF9, I found it to be a little too "snappy" to shoot, I sold it because I still had a P3AT. I know that the P3AT is equally harsh with potent .380 loads, the ease of carry made it worthwhile for me.

I gifted my son with the P3AT, once I got the LCP, essentially the same gun. I would like to find a +1 magazine extension for the LCP like I had with the P3AT.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks Ron  for posting the pic of the P64  lower right in the above group!     It has been my carry piece for a few years now! Unless I am driving then know telling what might be near!
