Just picked up my first Dan Wesson on Thursday.   Model 15-2 with 8V and 6V barrels.  This was not an originally planned purchase.

Tuesday I decided to visit a friend's gun shop to check for some powder, bullets or other items I might need.  When I arrived the normal chit chat took place as I wondered around the shop.  Found some powder, a shell holder I needed and noticed a hard case with a revolver and extra barrel in it.  Beautiful piece but I didn't need another hand gun so I paid for the items and headed home.

That evening DWAS hit me hard...........I didn't know what it was then, but I do now.  The shop is closed on Wednesday so I suffered until 9AM Thursday morning.  I grabbed my "gun stash cash" and drove 20 miles to the shop.

That is how I became a Dan Wesson owner.DSCN1793.JPGImage Enlarger

To the paranoid people who check behind shower curtains for murderers:

if you find one...what's your plan?

The original wrench and gap gauge were included in the deal.  This is a Monson, Mass. gun and the serial # 1432xx, what year range is this?

GB and Ebay require lots of self control, there are some real good deals but there are also plenty of real stinkers also.  I’d like to have a 2” and a 4” to add to the gun but will just bide my time until I find them reasonably priced.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

dwf-welcome to the dwf.  Lookin' good.

Regarding the 2-inch and 4-inch reasonably priced  -- goodluck.  Nothing DW seems to be reasonably priced any more.

Enjoy your new Dan.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
