New member from Indiana. I recently bought my first Dan Wesson and hope to learn more about it.

It's stainless, but I don't know the model or year made.

dwf-welcome Billy .. looks like it was manufactured sometime after 1992, but that's all I can tell. Steve will probably be along soon and will be able to narrow the year down better.

Look at the muzzle end and see if it has a barrel not.  Your gun looks very much lime my 4 inch 714 Palmer fixed barrel.  If it is a fixed barrel, it is a very uncommon and desireable gun.  The time frame that Stinger gave fits with the fixed barrel years.

BTW welcome to the forum from PA and thanks for introducing yourself and posting pics.

This is a very difficult era to date, 1992 is probably as close to correct as it's going to get

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I'm thinking it's a fixed barrel too, pretty rare in a model 714

Thanks for all of the info.

I have a feeling this will be the first of many Dan Wesson's in my collection.
