I just need to say that the move in hosting for DWF is a great big step forward!

Functions just as fast as any other Forum I visit. It's possible that some functionality issues will surface, as can happen with any change like this, but it looks like a big win for us, I'm pretty impressed.

Thanks Jody

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks Steve,

The move to our own VPS (virtual private server) gives me a lot more flexibility on the configuration.

Folks are going to need to buy a lot of calendars this year!

If anyone experiences any issues just let me know.

It is great, bring on the calendars.  At least now I can use the DWF again.  It was a very long time being away.  It is even behaving with 8.1, imagine thatconfused

Do we want a DWF Fundraiser Auction?

I'd bet that many of us have some DW odds and ends lying around that we can run some auctions on.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I notice that now sig pics post completely.

I'm not able to edit my profile to add my sig pic back in yet.

No problem; I can continue to add it manually, especially since the new system is sooooo fast.

Mike,

Looks like there was an issue with the profile settings which should now be fixed.  Give it a try and let me know if you still have issues.

I realize you probably have plenty of tweaking to do yet but I thought I would mention when you go to Archive or FAQ across the top I get nothing. Just in case you haven't seen that one yet. No hurry cause every thing is Awesome. Great work as always.

Jody,

I will  try out the "donate" function of the new website. I dont know much about servers and clouds and thankfully Windows 8.....but I know they cost money. Thanks for keeping the DWF one of the best firearm forums out there !

Thanks Guys!

LB I had noticed the links were not displaying for the sub pages which is my next item to address.  I was able to get a rotating image slider going.  I still have some work to do on it but at least it's there now!

It  looks like the header photos are now slideshow style, you can just watch the header and see a series of great pictures. Used to be that the header photo changed after you accessed a topic or post.

I like the new style better.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Plus you can click your cursor on either the left or right of the header photos to advance or rewind the slideshow. That's pretty cool. Also, I see a ton of photos on there from years gone by, that I haven't seen in a long time.

Great work, Jody!!occasion

Hey Jody:

I can't seem to choose one of my uploaded images and I can't upload one. Got a message something about 'tinymyce".

Hi Jody:

The problem is not with the regular forum; it's in the profile where I am trying to edit my signature and add a pic.  That's where I get the message window that says "TinyMCE not defined".

I just tried uploading another pic and it seems there is now a very small file size limit. I would not be able to upload any of the pics I already have under the new limit rules.

Also, I cannot select from my existing images for the signature.

I just discovered that it did upload the pic below multiple times but editing the profile seems to be messed up. Clicking on one of the buttons, such as edit signature, may or may not result in an action being completed by WP.
