I took the opportunity to examine Scorpio's new 715. Looking it over and lacking the blem sheet i could not find any finish issues that stood out. It is a very nice looking 715 and I like the  new shroud style more than I thought I would. Also shoots very nice, I think I shot one of my better groups of the day with it.

OK, I'll bite!

What are the two calibers that DW never produced and where are they in the pic?

Charger Fan,

You keep pulling out some amazing Dan's.

Would one of the other one's be one of these talked about below.

Dan Wesson - The pot is really bubbling up in Norwich, New York. They keep coming out with one innovation after another. Here’s an exclusive peek at three prototype revolvers that are under active development as we speak. First, is the 357 TS. This baby is designed to shoot a bottle neck cartridge case loaded with a 200 grain spire point bullet! The increased efficiency from the bottle neck design and the improved ballistics from the spire point bullet will give the silhouette shooter and the handgun hunter down range performance like they’ve never had before. Subtle features in the case and chamber design are meant to overcome setback problems. They had the serial #1 prototype on display and it was a very impressive gun. This is going to interesting.

Then there’s the 460 Super Mag. This is a stretch 45 Win Mag. Cases are being made by Burtram Brass in Australia. This sucker will sling heavy 45 caliber bullets downrange at Super Mag velocities. It’s being developed as a direct competitor to the 454 Casull. It’s currently in the load development phase.

Also under development is a 32 Super Mag. I saw some of the prototype cases while at the Show - also made by Burtram Brass. 1.6” long and they’re beautiful. Besides steel animals, also should provide lots of power for game up to coyote at reasonable distances as well. In shorter barrel varieties, it should also have potential as a self defense gun. This really looks intriguing.

my guess on the odd ball calibers would be a 9mm and 45acp revolver. then45acp is listed in the blue book but I've never heard of anyone bragging that they had one (45pin gun) the caliber collection is my goal!occasionnice showing

Does somebody have a 505 or 610 super mag? I didn't think they made any.

Willy, I should have also stated that the pic I posted wasn't one of mine. It belongs to another of our esteemed dwfmembers, I just saved a pic a few years ago.smile

SMF, unless my memory is completely failing me here (not hard to do these days), I don't think I've been introduced to that one you posted...c'mon man, out with the goods!!whipping It almost looks like DW's answer to the Taurus Judge!big-grin

We had the High Stanard Sentinel MK II and III present at the shoot, but no Mitchells.  I think you may be the only one with that niche filled.

The 7-30 waters? I've heard rumors that Monson(?) made one. It's not a Millett sight and it's not fluted the way Norwich's were so it has to be something done in Monson or Palmer.

Well Superdan, you win the prize before I got the camera repaired!  Great detective work!  I will post the good side after this weekend.  I really do need  a good photo to submit.  It is stamped 7-30 Waters but it is now really a 7MM supermag. More to this story when I have time to write ALOT, because it is a very long story.  So much for the taunting nowcool

Oooooooo! Yay!! I hope the prize is that you're going to adopt me, Pleeeeaasse.

In all seriousness SMF you have an absolutely amazing collection worship and whoever you're connection is for some of these insanely rare Dan's is I hope you kiss him every time you see him.

I had heard DW produced one, I believe IHMSA was telling me, but I'm pretty sure he said it was destroyed. From the looks of it, it's a six shot that has to be a tight squeeze unless they increased the cylinder diameter. Make sure you take a picture next to a Super or Large frame to give us an idea of how big it is. I'm anxiously awaiting this thread.
