I'd like to thank Lonwolf93 for once again hosting a great range day at his place.  I'd also like to say thanks to his wife for a great lunch!

Also, it was a pleasure to meet our forum founder Jody at the range today.  I hope we can all do this again soon.

It was also great to see Supermagfan again!

I'm sure there will be some very kewl pics coming soon, so stay tuned.

I would also like to thank Lonwolf93 and he's wife for being very gracious hosts!  The venison BBQ was awesome and the location was fantastic.   About 150 miles into my trip home last night I had wish I had taken them up on the offer to take some with me!  Thanks to Scorpio I did have a few apples to tied me over to I got home!  My daughter was happy I brought some home as well!  Supermagfan and have talked on the phone before so it was nice to put a face with the voice.

I was grateful for the invitation and I'm glad I made the trip!  I will pull my photos and get some posted!

A great day indeed! A perfect weather day. It is tremendous fun to get together with others who share a common infatuation with Dan Wesson revolvers and pistols. And these guys are not afraid to load them up and use them the way they are meant to be!

This get together can't be called a PA range day, as we were fortunate that Jody made the drive up. A real honor to meet and shoot with the man who founded and maintains all that we have here on the forum.

My own Dan collecting is rather modest, so I thank the guys for bringing many beautiful and in several cases quite rare Dans, and their generosity with ammo expended.  CF, if you ever make the journey east you will not regret it! You wont even have to bring any guns we have plenty here in PA.

I hope others have some good pics, right now almost all the pics of the day on my camera have weird greenish streaking and highlights. Will try to fix them this week after I figure out how to on WINDOWS8broken-computer

Here are the attendees. From left to right, Chris (Scorpio), Brian (Lonwolf93), Phil (Supermagfan), and on the right is our esteemed founder and Administrator Jody.

Here is a shot of some of the hardware we shot yesterday.  We had many more that wouldn't fit on this table but there is a special significance to what is pictured here.  Can anyone guess what that significance could be?
HINT it is a rather special collection.

Some more pics:

First one is Jody in action.

The second is Phil exercising a supermag.

I've got some video of Brian shooting Jody's 445 but I have to figure out how to get it from my phone to the forum.

A huge thank you to Lonwolf and his terrific wife for hosting this event again.  The setting is perfect in the remote woods.  The food was fabulous and the friendships irreplaceable.  It was an honor to finally meet Jody and as usual Scorpio brought a truckload of ammo and firearms and yes Apples, sweet apples, thanks Chris!  The day was over way too quickly, but we will look forward to the next outing to do it again.

We missed you Ed, sorry you couldn't make it.  It was a fun day and we have some good pics between us.  I need to figure out how to post videos from my phone.  Jody was the one with the 'high perfromance' loads this time.  His fire breathing 445's didn't require 'special tools' but they were quite a handful.  laugh

I can't wait to do it again!

Thanks again Mr. and Mrs. Lonwolf93 for a great time!

I will take a shot. Pun intended.   One of every caliber DW produced????

DING DING DING We have a winner! and on the first try toooccasion

LB is correct, we decided instead of a mass showing of Dan's, we'd gather together, in one place at the same time, a representitive of one of every caliber that Dan Wesson produced.  Kind of a 'family photo' if you willsmile.

There is also a bonus hidden in that pic.  In addition to one of every caliber they ever produced, there are two that never were.  How's that for a rare bird?  Two experimental models, and we were fortunate enough to all shoot them.

Next challenge, gather one of evey model ever produced.  That could take a while.  Kind of a Noah's Ark pic?wink

Here is a few more pictures...  I was able to get one really good shot of some flame as Phil was shooting.  I was so busy trying to get the picture I don't recall which caliber he's shooting.  The hammer and dowel came in handy as you can see as well.

Great flame pic that must be Jody's 445 maybe.

Ed, you were missed there, but don't worry we will surely get together again.

Unfortunately most all the pics off my camera are bad, must have been on the wrong setting for the sun or something.

Great flame pics indeed Jody!  I like the one with Brian, just a whisp of flame left in the air.  That one of Phil is awesome, and I think those were Jody's 'warm' 445 loads, made the hand sting.

OK, I'll bite!

What are the two calibers that DW never produced and where are they in the pic?

Those 445SM loads Jody had were definite fire breathing hand stingers.  Good the barrel was heavy or I may have had a new dent in the forehead, now that was another story big-grin.  Ed we did remember you while ejecting the cases with our hammer and dowel rod...  Zoommb you are getting warm, one of them has graced a calendar, hint..

Yes we did shoot the new 715 and it shot very well right out of the box.  The DA trigger seemed a bit stiffer than my other old 715's but that is probablly just due to needing to be broken in.

How would the older style barrel shrouds look on the new 715 frame?
