I can tell by the age of this thread that its not directed at me.. Because I have another pac coming my way and... Somehow yesterday I won and auction for a model 15 in the box.. I'm afraid its going to happen again but I dontknow what to do!!

Actually, I do have a response, not the one everyone might expect.
As I looked back on this I saw posts from tigger. Most of our current Members never knew Dale, he was (and still is) everything that DWF and shooting is about.
Please look at post #8 to fully understand this:

As I reread this old thread I realize I have an advanced case of Stage Two of DWAS. I now am acquiring things with just Wesson in the name. A Registered Magnum, a couple of 5 screw one line K-22's and..... a Jim Cirillo Smith-Dan hybrid. I have also bought a new android phone to photograph my guns for the forum. The list goes on and on. Barrel assemblies, grips, parts and packs. I need help but be forewarned. I am extremely contagious. One look at my stuff and you could be in trouble. On the bright side, it could be worse. I could have a gambling and sex addiction . Or collect black rifles.lol.

If you follow the link, tigger died on January 1, 2011, cancer. Dale was a very early DWF Member, and very active on Specialty Pistol as well, we have some longtime members from there as well.
DWF ran a fundraiser to support his family, and sent out over $1000 to his family.
tigger was a Shooter who loved Dan Wesson revolvers, he was important in the early DWF growth, and I think it's important to DWF for him to be one of our Range Officers.
DWF is a pretty welcoming and friendly place, way back in the early days tigger was a big part of why DWF is what it is now for us
Maybe on 1/1/15 we could take a moment to say "Dale, Peace be with you"

Sorry, didn't realize that was a hot link. He passed prior to my finding this site, he sounds like a great guy, wish I'd had the opportunity to know him. Agree with you Steve, he certainly seems like a 'Founding Father'.

He was absolutely a great guy. He and Dean (IHMSA80x80) turned me on to DWs and this site during my 2008-09 deployment. I had one 715 when I met them online and now I have a "few" other models and calibers...
They are why I came here from the Specialty Pistols site.
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
